Protect your Secret Recovery Phrase
Anyone with your Secret Recovery Phrase can take your funds. MetaMask will never ask for it. Store the phrase offline, in more than one secure location, and never photograph it or paste it into a cloud document.
Spot phishing and fake support
Phishing sites copy MetaMask's design and ask you to connect or enter your phrase. Bookmark the official site, check the address bar before connecting, and treat unsolicited direct messages offering help as scams.
Review every approval
Before you sign, read what the request does. A token approval can give a contract ongoing permission to spend your tokens. Periodically review your active approvals in a permissions tool and revoke any you no longer need.
